True to tradition at over 1,000 meters above sea level, guests are personally welcomed on a first-name basis by the Lürzer family. If you love fresh mountain air, have an eye for design, and are looking for a laid-back, stylish retreat, this is the place for you! The various studios can accommodate up to eight people, and the in-house restaurant or sun terrace serves Italian street food. The Sauna & Relax Area is the perfect spot to recharge after an active day in the surrounding mountains. As one of Austria’s snowiest ski resorts, the winter season here lasts from the end of November to the end of April.

As one of the snowiest ski resorts in Austria, Obertauern offers around 100 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes for skiers, snowboarders, ski tourers, and freeriders at an altitude ranging from 1,630 m to 2,313 m. During the summer months, 100 km of hiking trails, crystal-clear mountain lakes like the Krummschnabelsee – a hidden gem for swimming –, the impressive Johannes Waterfall, and numerous alpine huts await exploration.
